2/25/04 - Customer Backlash Motivates Brake Dust Alternative

Ford Motor Company, responding to customer complaints related to extreme brake dust build up on 2003-04 Ford Expedition wheels, is now providing customers with another choice in dealing with this problem.

Ford representatives were quoted as saying that "...while we do not view this as a product design problem, this new option will give our valued customers an alternative to having to replace brake pads at their expense...". Ford reps. further stated that this new option will, in fact, provide affected customers more value at a lower cost, and described it as "...a win-win for us and our customers...".

Questions, comments, and inquiries may be directed to Ford Motor Company, The American Road, Dearborn, MI.

So, is that the choice? Pressure washing?

I'm heading down to my dealer and picking up one of those bad boys!

I think this is just a joke thread since there's no mention of what the

"new option"

is. And then there is a picture of a pressure washer, so go figure...

I work for Ford and I would almost guarantee that this is a joke. The new option is a new set of ceramic pads that ford has put out. I have some on order and they won't be of until April 25. Sometimes backorders get released ahead of schedule so that isn't written in stone. Mine are ordered for Stock anyway. If I placed a emergency order that would be released sooner.
