Shortening the frame is easy, BUT, before you do take a GOOD look at what kind of a driveshaft angle you are looking at on that rear shaft, could get pretty exaggerated???

Aye! Just picked it up yesterday. Haven’t had a chance to crawl under it and check it out just yet. The gas tank issue I didn’t think all the way through so that might be a bugger out the way. The drive shaft angle should be a problem beings it’s independent suspension all around.

Parting most of it out, how can I get permission to post in the for sale forum?

That's a bummer. HAHA I can't believe I did this...who knew they made a 2wd Eddie Bauer trim. This Expedition I just bought has traded hands 3 times and all 3 have been under the assumption it was a 4WD (cause why buy a Eddie Bauer 2wd?) until me the unlucky bastard who crawled under and behold zero front axles or drive shaft.

That's where paying attention to your geometry teacher in high school/ college is going to come in handy. And you thought it was for pool table shots only! Everything is going to scrunch together, and make steering quicker, braking feel faster, etc. I grew up with racing motorcycles, dirt and street. When you shorten a frame say 2 inches, it makes turns of the handlebar so much quicker at speed. Theirs a point where it's desirable to have that quicker steering, but then the trade-off is a less stable, sometimes twichty feeling in both ends. You'll discover the same twitchiness in your modified expedition. That's where knowledge, and a little experimenting will stabilize your project vehicle. Don't expect it to be right, straight out of the box, they rarely are. But when you finally get it, that will be worth breaking out the Dom perion.
