Front bumper valance dropped down

2022 Expedition Max. I noticed part of the front bumper assembly has dropped about 4"-5". on the pass side. Part # NL1B17D992NAP1A01 it's this carbon fiber bumper piece called lower valance over molding? There are 2 six inch shock absorber looking things and the pass side is not compressed like the drive side is. not sure what has happened or how to fix it? Any help / advise is appreciated. Been search online for over an hour

I dug deep into the internet and found out what this is. Turns out it's called an Active Air Dam Valance motor. It lowers a second valance at high speeds to improve fuel efficiency, but brings it back up at slower speeds so you don't hit curbs, etc
one motor on each side and this carbon fiber piece of bumper. I didn't see any electrical to it so it seems like a spring under the rubber boot? I was afraid of setting off an air bag or something if I messed around with taking it off. I guess my motor has gone bad, according to ChatGPT. The part number is NL1Z-17626-E Priced about $250 Hope this may help someone else if you have this happen

This type of stuff kills me because I bet this "feature" couldn't save enough fuel to pay for itself to repair.

Should be the reverse....lowers when speed lowers.....helps when coming in for those carrier landings !!!!
Check to see if the tail hook is still operational......
