When I drive my 2006 eddie bauer edition in 2wd I hear a metal noise. I cant even describe it other than maybe the truck is not fully coming disengaged from 4wd. I'm not a mechanic so I dont know the specifics of how it works. The faster I drive the louder the noise.
I dont hear the noise when I'm in awd, 4wd L or 4wd H. I thought the automatic hubs were vaccum controled and thought I may have a slight leak but it should make the sound when in AWD too? Right? Any thoughts on what the noise could be?
