2015 Expi with 32k on the clock developed a very minor vibration or rattling underneath. You can only hear it at low speeds such as pulling into the drive way or slowly thru a parking lot. You can hear it from inside the truck or if standing outside and near it. Difficult to describe the sound but it sounds like something is loose. Took it to dealership (mistake) for that and basic maintenance. Advisor calls back to say that they have determined the noise to be the front control arms and bushings and that both need to be replaced to the tune of $700. We are leaving for a road trip to the mountains in a week and I did not want to be worried about any suspension issues in the mountains so I say go for it thinking that was a shit load of money for two control arms and that they should not be bad so soon.

Low and behold while pilling into my driveway the rattling/vibration could clearly be heard. I called the service manager this morning to complain that I paid $700 for parts that I most likely did not need asking what was he going to do about it. He wants the car back in to reevaluate it.

After all this, has anyone else developed a rattling vibration like this underneath or within the front end?

Called service manager yesterday to complain and met with him this morning for him and the tech to hear the noise. Both heard it plain as day. Left the car with them again. Sounds and feels like it may be somewhere in the steering linkage as the noise peaks when turning the wheel at low speeds. Will address the $700 worth of needless parts and labor when he calls with results. Will never go thru a dealer again for service unless it is warranty work.

You can push for some or all that money back. It was a misdiagnosis plain and simple. It's up to you, but I'd push it. If you put it on your credit card, get ahold of them, put the amount in dispute.
