I have a 2017 Platinum with 35K miles. So I have the buzzing or whirring sound that appears to be coming from the left front wheel. I’ve done all the suggested checks that I’ve found online. Put on a new set of tires. IWE appears to be functioning properly. Can’t believe it’s a wheel bearing as it’s done this for a couple thousand miles with no change in noise. Does it in 2 an 4 wheel drive. Does anyone have a definitive way to troubleshoot this? Thanks.

Does the noise change as you steer slightly left and right on smooth asphalt? If so I would have your wheel bearings inspected. I worked in a fleet shop and we had LF wheel bearings fail on several 2005 F-150 4x4 trucks when new. So mileage may not be an issue. We never had a passenger side fail over the 200k mile life of these pickups, only the left and it was early on.
