Hi all,

I have a 2003 2WD and am looking for a front mount hitch receiver. I have searched forums, checked all the major players (Warn, Ramsey, Hidden Hitch, Draw-Tite, Reese, etc.) and it seems that nobody makes an application for the '03 2WD (most don't even offer one for the '03 4WD).

Does anybody know of one that will fit? I don't need it to be fully rated (9,000#) as it will only be used for trailer positioning. On my property, where I store my utility trailer, I need to back it up an incline and around a curve. Probably a total of around 300' in distance and very narrow. It's hell on the transmission (I just had to have a power flush because it was starting to chatter coming out of O/D), and would be easier to navigate if the trailer were in front of me (and the trans would thank me as well).

Any ideas?

I've been looking for the same thing. I've seen an article a while back about some "swing-away" hitches (or something like that) that will swing up behind your front bumper when you're not using them, but I haven't been able to find them, or anything like them, since then.

You have to check out www.bodiak.net

They make Class III hitches that attach or clamp onto your tow hooks.

I had hidden hitches on my 97 & 02 F-150's, and a Curt Front Hitch on my 08 Explorer, but I like the versatility of the bodiak front hitch.

I chose the bodiak for my F-250 because the standard front hitches required the removal of the fog lights, and I didn't want to do it.

The one i had on my F-250 is still in the family, my Dad uses it on his excursion. I just picked up my Expedition and it's Mono-chrome white, so I am picking up a custom white powder coated bodiak hitch from them in a couple months. Already contacted them about it.

Looks like a great product. It would sure make parking the boat in that small space I hace a hell of a lot easier. I wish I could get one that would fit both the 2001 F-250 and the 2005 Expy...(damn, one year to much on the Expy).

They are definitely worth it, and I have used it for the boat a few times when I had it.

My 06 F250 had the Chrome package with the chrome tow hooks, so instead of mounting it on them, i went on Ebay and bought two black hooks and installed the hitch on them.
