Hey guys, I'm new to this board and I have a question. I'm replacing the front upper control arms on my 2003 Expedition XLT. I got everything disconnected but the front pivot bolt that holds the control arm in will not come out. It hits on the spring. Am I going to have to remove the shock and spring? Anyone else have this problem? See attached pics to see what I mean. (The bottom pic is sideways, its just an up close of the first) I tried to wiggle it around to get the bolt out but couldn't seem to get it out. Thanks in advance for any help.

Yup... You will need to remove the 4 nuts on the top to remove the coilover..

To make things easier.. Place your jack under the lower control arm to provide some load. Now remove the bolts.. Once all 4 nuts are removed, slowly lower the jack until the coilover is free. Do what you need to do, and jack up the coilover back in place and tighten the 4 nuts with loctite..
