I have an 01 that has started leaking when I fill it up. I looked today and the hoses from the filler tubes to the tank are leaking. I only have 1 day off so I need to be as efficient as I can to get these replaced. Also, it's my only vehicle so I need to be able to do this at one time.
It also won't let me fill up quickly. Something stops the flow at the pump, and, yes, the fuel gauge is wrong.
It is a basic XLT with the 4.6. It has some other issues but this is the highest priority as fuel isn't cheap, it's dangerous, and I can smell fuel when driving.
Thanks guys!!

About the only thing I could find online was the filler neck with hose. I'm assuming that's what's leaking. When your dealing with fuel hose get the proper one. Looks like dealer if its available still, or maybe you'll get lucky with a used one that isn't dried or cracked. Check eBay, that's where I saw the filler neck/hose. I don't think you can get the vapor hoses from parts stores, but you might check, I could be wrong.

Having the same problem with my 99 Expedition. Filler neck rubber hose between neck and tank cracked and leaking. Looks like it will be a hard time finding one. I was surprised not to find one online on ebay, Amazon or other auto parts places.
