Funny Smell

There is a funny smell coming from the a/c. I thought maybe the previous owner smoked or something, but I heard something about mold in the vents. Can someone clue me in?

Funny smell huh? Does it always smeell from the vents? Or only after drving for a while? When the heater on does it smell more?

Is it a sweet smell or a rotten smell. If it is sweet smell then your heater core is probably leaking. If it is a moldy or smoky smell you can get some stuff at the autoparts store that will deodorize the vents really well. You also may want to check and make sure that the water is draining out of the evaporator properly. If it is holding water it will grow mold pretty easy.
