I manage about 11-12 city and I've done as good as 18 highway on my 2002 4x4 with the 5.4. She has 150,000 miles on her, as well, and all stock.

11.5 to 12.5 no matter how I drive, but I do have a heavy foot, I try to drive her easy, but that only last for 5 minutes, I am on steel wheels with 35s, with an sct programmer, k&n, and gotts mod.

I think we are comparing apples and oranges here. At least one poster has a 4x2. Some have a 4x4. It makes quite a difference with a 4x2. Less running gear to drag around. 13 around town for my 4x4 5.4L 2000. 15~16 on the road.

11-11.5 in town ac on (pick up about 1 without ac)
highway hard to tell around 16-17

06 EB 4x4 all stock - rarely the last one off a light and do not get passed often on the interstate. 265x70x18. not at all an aggressive driver - just focused, determined and mission-oriented.
thanks, Mike

I really love driving downtown when the buildings are really tall and close together, then she really gets loud and echoes off of everything.

With my 15-16 mpg, I could get better, but the only time I've really gone on long trips is on the interstate, and everytime I go home or to school, it seems like I drive into the wind, I got 18 mpg one time on a hour trip when the wind wasn't blowing. . . I don't care what they say about Chicago. . . Laramie, Wyoming has to be the windiest city in the U.S.
