After refueling my 2017 expedition today, there was a strong smell of gasoline in the cab of the vehicle. My wife said it also happened the last time she refueled. I took it to the nearest Ford dealer, one and a half hours away. It still smelled strongly of gasoline. After they checked everything over, the technician showed me a schematic and explained that there is an over pressure relief valve on the fuel system located inside the engine compartment. His remedy was to use the recycle air button on the heater until the gas smell goes away. Has anyone else had this problem or have a suggestion of what can be done?
