You won't find but a couple of women on here...but women do drive/own them...not like men though...you'll also find on the site more men are buying them foe their wives as grocery getters...that's what they say...

this isnt a bad poll...
I try to think of things people would like to know about... Usually just go by what I'm curious about.... We get excellent insite about mechanics of the Expedition but not to much about interest of the owner.

I think if you put this type of poll on any automotive forum and it would be dominated by men. Even a Miata or VW Beetle forum. Guys are much more apt to search out a forum to learn more about customizing or just fixing their ride, or they are searching about their spouses ride. There have been a few women on the auto forums I currently belong to Expeditionforum.com, ramforumz.com, ramforum.com, tbssowners.com, or one's I used to frequent like s10forum.com, explorerforum.com, cadillacforum.com or the many others I can't even remember. My wife could care less about her vehicle. I don't know how many times I have gotten behind the wheel of one of her vehicles after not doing it for a long period and noticing something wrong that she hasn't noticed that it has been doing it for 6 months. She's so oblivious. I try to take her car somewhere once a week now so I can hopefully notice something before it gets too bad. You will find the occasional female that is totally into her ride more than the average man but they are definitely in the minority.

I love my truck... talking about it, doing mods to it, taking it in the mud and getting it filthy from top to bottom... lol... i only let a few people drive it and thats on a rare occassion... i myself think girls are more into them selves other than trying to relate to there spouse, more men woupd be happier if women would show interest in what men like and not just about them selves or there hair etc... just my 2 cents

My Husband is the opposite then because only thing he knows about cars is how to drive them. He could care less about them....which annoys me a bit because when I need help with something he prefers to sit and watch Sportscenter. He is constantly joking me for being part of Forums.... calling me a dork.... I just tell him it's better to know about the vehicle you drive than not to know anything at all.

I work in the auto parts business and I'll admit I see more women behind the wheel of the Expedition. However I tend to agree that the men will search out and participate in forums on a regular basis. You go girls!! Keep it up, glad to have ya around!

I think the reason for the large majority of men driving expeditions is clearly because in the urban dictionary expeditions are also known as sexpeditions which means an expedition used to pick up women. Naturally i would assume this would be geared more toward the male market. I learn real good at College in University are Wisconsin Milwaukee. They learn me good.
