My wife gave me the ok to get a new exhaust on the expy. The only catch was she made me pick between the new headlights/HID's and the exhaust. It is almost summer and won't get dark till 9 pm................... "ummmmmm I'll take the exhaust" So here is my plan:

2 single in/out 2.5 inch Flowmaster 40 series delta flow

4 inch stainless slash cut tips that exit either right in front of or behind the passenger side rear wheel, if I run the pipes out in front of the rear tire then I will be pulling my running boards off.

look similar to this:

I am also gonna have the rear two cats removed and hopefully run true duals. But here is my question; Should I run an X or H pipe to increase scavanging and equalize pressure between the two banks?

Hopefully I will get this done next week if I can get all my stuff shipped quick enough due to Memorial Day. If not it will the week after, I am open to suggestions.

Sounds good, go with the exit before the rear tire to be different!

Not sure yet, but either way it will have to tuck in close to the body. I hate it when I see exhaust tips hanging low like they are just waiting to drag on something. I actually want them at more of a downward angle than the pic that I posted. So the pipe side would be a couple inches higher than the tip side (maybe a 30-40 degree angle). But if I go before the tire then I will spend less money on piping.

What pipe diameter should I go with? I am leaning towards 2.5 but I want to maximize low end torque, so would 2.25 be a better choice?

Ok, I bought a Flowmaster 44 series delta flow (single in dual out 2.5 inch), 2.5 inch Y pipe, and 2 stainless rolled edge slash cut tips. I just need to find an exhaust shop that won't bend me over to weld up a couple sticks of 2.5 inch pipe. So it will be almost a true dual setup, I just hope it will sound good. Hopefully I will have pics and a sound clip for you guys next week.

That is what makes me really happy about the Falkens, they don't drone at all. All I hear is wind noise right now. I won't mind if I can hear some exhaust drone, but I definitely don't want to hear it over my stereo.
