If you read my first post I am a newbie Expedition owner. I have loved the truck but noticed a vibration when accelerating from a stop while turning left or right. After owning it for close to 2 months I have noticed it goes completely away after a lil freeway driving. However it has bothered me and I thought I had better address it after reading some of the very helpful posts on here:)

I was just gonna try some friction modifier or a comparable alternative but I remembered when I bought the truck they said something about a 60 day warranty on used vehicles. I did buy it from a AutoNation dealer (Team Ford) in Marietta Ga. So wednesday I took the truck by and left it with them. Well of course they called me back and told me I did NOT have a warranty and I would be responsible for a "rebuilt" rear end. Stupid me left all my paperwork in the glovebox and the dealer is 75miles from me so I called my salesperson back who was super helpful and he pulled my file. He calls me today and tells me my wife signed a "as is" form and the truck would not be covered but he would see if they could get the work done for me at cost.

You know this ticks me off so bad because I remember while I was looking at the truck the window sticker showed it had been thru the rigorous 120something inspection, 250 mile money back gaurantee and a 60 day warranty (today is day 60 btw).... I get an idea to find AutoNations corp website and there is a link there to contact them. So I did.....

Fastforward 7pm tonight (eastern) I get a phone call from the GM of Team Ford. He has called to tell me he will need my truck next week while they get this taken care of and is going to replace the rear diff of my 2003 Expy that has 126k on it...YES! Great news considering I was laid off last week.. I am so so glad I did not give up pressing the issue and I am glad I escalated the issue a lil higher..It really has paid off!!

Thanks for letting me story tell. Maybe it could be helpful to others..Thanks again for such a great informative site!

Finally picked up BigRed yesterday from dealer. They took their time but its fixed and drives like new now. Not even a hint of vibration and I noticed the slight howl at cruising speeds is gone too! The total bill came to $1576. The warranty covered the whole tab with 0 deductable. Could not be more pleased.
