Is your battery full charged? Make sure there isn't any corrosion on the battery posts, and that you're getting a good, clean contact. Make sure there isn't any breaks in any of the power cables. Every so often you hear of cables developing corrosion in their midsection, providing a very incosistant flow of electricity.
