Getting rid of rattle from "Cargo Management System?"

Hi all,

My Expy came with the "Cargo Management System." It is pretty useless IMHO, but it was pre-installed on my Expy so I didn't have a choice.

Anyway, it constantly rattles over bumps and such. I think others have mentioned this issue as well. Has anyone found a good solution to prevent this?

I was thinking about wedging something between the moving parts in the system to make it wiggle less, but if there is a more elegant solution, or any other tips, I'd certainly be interested.

It seems useless to me too, so it's covered up with a cargo liner.

I'm assuming the rattle is when it is being used, not stowed. Correct?

Actually, it rattles when it is stowed. I think it is because it isn’t latched down, but rather, because it is just a friction mechanism that is relatively loose, and allows it to wiggle over bumps.

I have the Max and it rattles over every bump. I have never seen what one looks like without it. I wonder if you can order the full lid instead. I think it’s useless because when folded there is no flat floor under it.

Also check your jack. Mine has came loose several times and it rattles and clunks when the strap comes undone.

My jack was also not stowed properly. It didn’t allow the plastic lid over the jack to clip in all the way.

it looks like the cargo management comes out easy enough. This could prove that it is the cargo management or not.

After seeing this, I’ll probably cut a piece of plywood and carpet it to fit in the hole if the cargo management is up.

It does come out, but this is what it looks like without it. Granted I also have the cover from the door strike off, but here it is for anyone that is wondering
