Going from 18 to 17 inch wheels possble?

The wife and I are looking into some aftermarket parts for some adventuring. I have an 08 Eddie Bauer with the 18 inch option. I was looking into 17 inch wheels as I want to get steel wheels. Is this a realistic idea or am I shooting in the dark?

I've looked at customwheeloffsets.com to get ideas but no one is really going smaller but rather the exact opposite. I was looking into a 17x9 wheel option and figured I will need to get spacers.

I appreciate everyone's knowledge and time. Hope everyone is safe and healthy in these crazy times.

Check it out but pretty sure the factory spare is a 17".

The factory Raptor rims are 17's and people run them. Should be no problem.

Confirmed. I started out with 18" aluminum rims when I bought my 2011, then switched to 20" and then got a sweet deal on some 2018 Raptor wheels. Love them and have had zero issues.
