spend the extra money, if you have it, and get the rotors as well. you will stop on a dime. a really small dime!

I just test drove an expedition for a friend who had installed dimpled rotors and bosch ceramic pads, it was a very noticeable difference from mine which is stock on all four corners (his were on all wheels as well)

It's enough of a difference that when I finish rebuilding the engine, the brakes and rotors, front and rear will be changed out with some sort of upgraded rotor (dimpled, drilled, slotted, any combo etc) and upgraded pads, something better than autozone/advance/pep-boys/murray's etc.
whether it's ceramic (which is way fine for our trucks) or semi-metallic or what-have-you.

It's someplace where if you can afford it you should not skimp, I will have a stronger engine, and bigger tires before to long I'll need that upgrade to keep my family safe if I have to stop on that small dime. totally worth the money.

and just in case any readers in the future wonder...you don't have to go bigger in your rotor size (like a big brake kit), if you upgrade staying in the stock size will be more than adequate unless your running un-godly HP.
