A little snowy and dirty, but you get the idea!! Just have to do the gap guards when it gets a little nicer out, and start tire shopping!!!

Haha. It's sad when a Expedition with 5 inches of lift can be called 'mini' anything. But next to yours it's understood!!! Probably start new tire shopping tomorrow.

Front end does sit quite high. It just looks a little lower in the pic on the driver side cuz it's parked on a drift I think. It's got the torsion bars cranked a bit right now, but I dialed then down about 3/4 of an inch a couple of days ago from where it was at.. I'll probably go back up tomorrow. I just didn't want a lecture form the shop that did my lift on the evils of torsion twists ;).

PS. if anyone out there has a picture of their acceptable CV angle so I don't get scared of maxing mine out, can they post a pic? Here was mine at full crank. Does it look too extreme? I know my sway bar is disconnected in the pic. But does that angle look O.k.? I don't want to wear anything out too early.

looks about the same as mine, but i would recomend getting new lift keys versus just wrenching the stock ones up, i em getting some wear already on my new tires, have the new keys just havent got them installed yet, doing that real soon, got yelled at today by inspection shop for for maxing out my tbs, and he told me to get bigger bumper stops, or i will break the torsion bars, they are getting pretty rough, and nuts, we can double stack two expys and still not be as big as you, and please vote on my light poll

ordering it friday, im on a mission now, rize industries makes a 8 inch lift for the expedition to, and with the spacers and tb keys, and 3 inch body lift that will give me about 13 inches of lift for about 4 grand, then maybe nuts can look up for once.hehe, ill just put the money for my new car or bike into the expy, no prob, go another few years on it

just so everyone hears it from me... lifts are awesome but they suck too... I average 9.2 MPG so yeah gas stations love me..... especially since my expy is a daily driver averaging 1000-1200 miles a month so over 110 gallons a month at 2.91 a gallon so yeah dont forget to figure that into the cost of lifts... along with added breaking ball joints and tires that go for about 340 a piece so..... yeah I love every penny it costs.... or just gonna buy a car and park expy soon till shows next summer..... but i need someone to go bigger so I can convince myself to do solid axle swap and 44s or maybe 54s..... hhhmmmmmm now you got me thinking

Gas mileage shouldn't suck because of the lift. ( other than wind drag at high speed). It's the choice of wheel size and gearing that will hurt your performance. Keeping a happy medium like 33's and 3.73 gears shouldn't affect your mileage that much. ( I hope) No one buy's an Expedition for good gas mileage anyway!!! :)

You do have a Hybrid. Half Monster/ Half Expedition / All awesome!!!!

We are lucky. I've had the truck like 3 years, and we've only put about 8,000 kms on it. It doesn't drive too much, other than taking the kid's to school and grocery shopping. That's kinda why it suck's needing to go buy new tires now. These things are still brand new, but they look a little ackward. I want to see if anyone makes a 305/75/16 which would be about 34 inch tire. A little thinner and a little shorter than your average 35. Hopefully the decrease in height and weight of the tire will not affect my truck that much. I love my Baja rims and want to keep them but they are 16x8 so I don't know if the 315 would be too wide for them.

You will def. need running boards of some sort. I just gave a couple of guys a ride home from work. ( it's freekin -32*C) and just watching them trying to get in and out of the truck was hilarious, and that's with running boards. Just not used to the height difference yet so they were stumbling in and out.
