Over the weekend did a variation of the Gotts mod. Since i work for an Electrical distributor I used a section of 3" EMT conduit instead of the PVC pipe. I can tell you that it was certainly more difficult the the PVC since you can not alter the outside dimensions to fit into the fender opening, but the inside diameter of the EMT matches the inside diameter of the air filter perfectly. Since we had damaged conduit sitting around and and i used a damaged piece of 4" heat shrink with an adhesive liner, this was a free mod for me. Took about an hour to convince the EMT to fit into the fender but then again it was free materials so the wife actually allowed me to do it....
