Hello,
During a short trip (~1.5 hours) I noticed that the front right wheel area was hot and the smell of hot brakes.
It would roll at an idle in drive, so I crossed my fingers and drove it home.
I've read about potential causes for brakes sticking, so I am going to check that I didn't mix up the pads and put matching pads on each side and I ordered replacement flexible hoses. I am reasonably confident that will fix the dragging brake issue.

Now, I am concerned that it puked out the wheel bearing grease when it was hot.

There are no signs that the bearings are going bad, but I would like to keep it that way. So, I would like to put some more wheel bearing grease in that bearing before driving it much further.

Please share any thoughts on how to go about this or if the bearings are sealed making adding grease nearly impossible. Ideally, I'd prefer not to have to tear apart the suspension to get to it. I feel that if I have to take off the wheel bearing, then I might as well put in a new one.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Ben

Follow up...
The brake pads were installed correctly, the caliper pins didn't have as much grease as I would like. Who knows what the inside of the hoses was like.
It has new hoses on the front (the dragging brake was the right front).

I removed the wheel speed sensor and injected 40cc of wheel bearing grease, some (~5cc) pushed out when I turned the hub. I have no idea how much came out when it was hot, but there was evidence of some on the wheel as shown in the picture, though more on the inside.

Maybe I extended the life of the wheel bearing, caused someone else to have issues or maybe did do much of any consequence. Please share your thoughts!

It drives fine, including 4wd.

Thanks,
Ben
