since navigators share expedition parts...what about putting a navi tailgate on my 04??? they have the extra lights in the tailgate!!! most def diff!!!

I don't think it's a straight switch. I remember one model of Navigator having a rounded bottom and the Expy having a squared off bottom. Don't remember if it was 1st or 2nd gen

I think they will swap just fine. I have been thinking about that since I bought mine. I just don't have the $$$$$. Don't forget there are the extra tail lights as well.

The same year hatch should swap over, but doesn't the Navi have extra trim/cladding on the bottom also?
That is one of the only features of the Navi I do not like. Just something about lights on the tailgate that just doesn't look right, and just added on to make it different.
