Headlights off when unlocked

Just noticed last night when we returned the vehicle and unlocked it, the headlights did not turn on. The puddle lights, rear license plate, and interior lights came on, but not the headlights. What could be the problem? They have came on in the past when unlocked.

On my 2007 you have to hit the setup button and go to automatic headlight delay options in the message center menu. There you put illuminated entry to <ON> and pick how many seconds you want it to illuminate for. It can be turned off by accident when you go to reset your oil etc.

Yes. No mention of it.

Mine only shines when it is dark. Like it said above they have to be set to work.
