heat problem

i have a 1997 Expedition and im having problems with the front and rear heat. When the blower motor is on low for the front and rear the heat is warm. But when i turn both up to high front and rear blow cool air. the radiator is not low nor are there any antifreze leaks. CAN ANYONE HELP TODAY IN THE POCONOS IT WAS 9 below

i posted a problem i having warm heat until i turn blower motor up. then cool air in front and rear heat. now i found out the radiator may be leaking and the top radiator hose is not presurized and 1 of the heater core hoses is cold the other is hot. can the radiator leaking cause a not heat problem and the top radiator hose not to presurize or is that a t-stat stuck open. or is it a combo of both

It could, I'd replace the tstat since its only a few bucks, but the radiator getting low and not pressurizing will cause you issues, a bad radiator cap could also cause the system to not pressurize.

if water ISNT going thru heater core...start there. heater core hopefully is good cause its not easy doing it or paying 4 it.

1st by pass heater core to see if it makes difference...

thats cold....like i said b4....bypass rear heat......warm truck up to cause i bet MY truck would take 10-15 min to warm up there...yikes!

to cold...its a 97....forget that rear heat deal....lol

Blend door.

Sounds like your blend door is shot. Low air and your getting something. High and the door closes. It is either the door or little motor that controls it. Look on You Tube for step by step ways to replace them. Good luck, it's a B...

Heat prob.

Your heater core is clogged and not allowing coolant to warm up the other hose. If it's leaking (something that can happen after it clogs up) then you have to replace it. Big job!!! Lots of time!! I'm doing mine now. Go to You Tube for a step by step. Good luck!

i actually had this problem as well, what happened was the control dial in the middle to control the temp was set on the cooler side and the next night the temp up here in canada dropped to lets say really f**kin cold.. and when i went in the truck and turned the dial to warm air, i got nothin. All i got was the same air as if it was set on the cooler side. The blend door was actually frozen, it could not turn as the truck was left outside, try parking your truck in a garage it might work lol.
