Heater Core Bypass ... 5/8 or 3/4 Hose Barb?

I want to remove rear heater/ac unit (07 expedition) and I need to bypass the heater core.

Anyone know if I need the 5/8 or 3/4 barbs for the hoses?

I'm just going to cut the hoses unless the quick disconnect will work with a regular barb.

Did you end up bypassing your rear heater core? If so, did you bypass in the rear or in the engine bay?
