I just posted a problem in a different thread, not noticing the introduction threads. My apologies for skipping. 
Born and raised in Jonesboro Arkansas, two children....oldest is 17 and youngest is 4. I work in a laboratory in one of the hospitals here, and I regretfully and honestly must admit that I am not very mechanically inclined.
I am very tenacious though, so not above using Google, JB Weld, Duct Tape and seeing if I can work my magic.
I said 'not above', but what I should have said is that I prefer to try to fix things myself. Sometimes resulting positively and sometimes not so.
