Hey,

Been reading this forum for the past year, and now need help myself...

I've been a month into this issue, on and off, of having no crank, no start, pats blinking rapidly code 16, etc. I read and applied a lot of knowledge and I think I am down to a wire somewhere which is shorting my HS CAN; it's just that I don't know in which module, and whether that's plus or ground..

I badly need a wiring diagram I can use to check in which module / harness to look for culprit.. I need this lovely car be up & running again. And here in Poland I dont really have workshops that could do the work for me..

I have a haynes manual with wiring diagrams for 07-17. It’s not completely accurate for me - they changed some things after the redesign in 2015 but i can post pics. What modules are you suspecting?

Hi. Many many thanks. I am thinking module-wise that it could be transmission or abs modules. And location - I will check main harness now near engine bay' fuse box, and by the battery pocket.., near AC lines I think..

There’s an issue with water leaking at passenger side top corner of windscreen. Has the passenger floor carpet ever been wet? The interior fuse box, main harness and several modules are in this A pillar area. I’ve seen some YouTube videos on know issues with moisture in these modules and wiring.

Hi - and many thanks. The interior fuse box looks good - checked all fuses, are good. I found this - in the harness that goes between PCM and engine bay fuse box. The location is near the radiator, by the battery. Had to remove battery compartment with washer reservoir to get to that harness.

So the cable fully corroded Anyone knows which cable this is? It is quite difficult to track it through the main harness.

So I had cut out the damaged section, fitted a new one - and no progress.. Unbelievable. I guess I am on the right cable(s)..., I haven't had multimeter today to test it, will test tomorrow..

Is there a good soul that could help me with a wiring diagram of that harness from connector between PCM and engine bay fuse box??? I can read wiring diagrams - it's just that I don't have them..

Ugh, my worst nightmare. I bought the 2 big red year specific shop manuals on ebay for mine and everything is in there. 5" thick total. $45 for both and nice.

Thank you for the link. Much appreciated! I would buy them instantly, if it would be e-book.. Otherwise it will take me a few weeks till they get to Poland where I am. But I might not have other solution than that. Not a chance you know which wire is this and what is responsible for (a thick, brown red one..)

Good looking rig, glad to see/hear it's back to a mobile state of being.

Looks really good without running boards, too. What size tires are on?

And a winch?! Ballin'!

Winch comes useful where I live, no need to get a tractor to get out of troubles..., at least most of times:). Tires are 33, I raised the car by 3 inches.

Running boards-have no need for them.
