The time has come to order lifting parts!!! Hell yah!!!

But I want to find the lowest price on, rear spacers, keys or as a package and a body lift.

Maybe some of you know of a good deal somewhere that I havent found yet.

Ebay for spacers? That's what I did. $50 plus shipping. Mine are the metal ones though. Daystar makes poly ones. Maybe a little more bucks. Keys, no idea, I just cranked my stock ones, and Performance Accessories makes the Body Lifts and gap guards. Probably around $200 anywhere you can order, and Gap Guards were about $80. Those you can order online as well. These $$ were CDN.

Panda,

If I didnt have a ¾ of a inch difference between driver and passenger side torsion bars I wouldnt get the after market keys. It might be worth it to get a little more lift out of the front. They got some new keys designs on ebay. Well new to me, Ive never seen them before. They have a sprocket of sorts that sit in the key giving you more options on position. Check them out.

Lane,

I came across the aluminum spacers on ebay for $74.99 with free shipping. Odd to see the aluminum cheaper then the poly for me.
Ill add the link below this. If you dont mind take a look and see if this is the same seller you got yours from. If it is or not did the ad you bought yours from list them at 3”? Im just wondering if Id really get 3” out of it. If the add matchs your spacers did you get the 3” out of them?

the only reason we say not to put after market spacers in is cause they are a pain in the @$$. and can hurt you if your not carful since the torsion bars are under torque forces. but ive seen people on f150online with them. they work. but if you can crank your stock keys. thats what i did. got 2" out of them. the driver side will crank all the way while the passenger side will still have some left. thats b/c the fuel tank and the driver are on that side. as for the spacers those are the ones my gf is going to get me. they ran out of the 2" spacers. besides they were the same price since you had to pay shiping on the 2" spacers. about $74 for the 2"s and $75 for the 3".

Yup, those are the same coil spacers I got. Same dealer as well. I only bought the 2 inch ones though. This was a few years ago, so prices may have changes since then. KWT2000 has the 3 inch ones on his. It is a true 2 or 3 inch lift. You put the 3 inch spacer in, and yer truck goes up 3 inches. Mine are under the coils, I think others put them above.

Yup, I had them below on my Explorer as well. I just used coil seats from a 96 2Wd F150 and turned them upside down on mine. Worked perfect. But that discussion belongs on the seriousrexplorations.com forum lol.

Lane...you kinda lost me..Did you order the 3” but it only netted you 2” .

KWT,... you ordered 3” the same in the ebay add and netted 3”. I might just take you up on that. Whats the shipping weight?

Ya ya I have used spacers before. Im just leery of the ad. Id like 3” but...

I used spacers in my Cherokees but they sell them as 2” but measure out at 1.75”

Im aware of the keys not netting much more lift. But being a 99 and with around 230k on the bars that little bit might help a little bit more! lol

i dont blame you for questioning. ebay can be a little fake. but with keys all your doing is cranking them but with new keys. and besindes ive never herd of a torsion bar breaking one these things. there was a thread a while back that asked that.

Yah, im not to worried about the danger of putting on or taking off keys. Going way back to teen years I had a Mazda B2200 and slammed it using the Tb's in the front ummm kinda just took them off as well as the bump stops and added a piece of tire. Low as slow vvvvvery slow! No speed bumps, got stuck on one once! Lol I worked at Western Auto in the shop and if someone mentioned going 4wheeling Id get on the lift at work, put the bars in and crank them up, put air in the rear, added my set of 31's and away I went! Lol That little trucks back end could flex out. I might have had to pick easier lines then the 4x4's but I kept up! Get done and washed her up and went back to the shop, slammed it and off to the local parking lot hang out!!

lets see if i can answer some of your questions... LANE24 used the 2" spacers and got 2" of lift, I used the 3" spacers and got 3" of lift.... it is a true lift of the expeditions...

as for the spacers they will fit in a flat rate box i think the cost is like $11 so let me know on that (be careful when using the lift keys as you can over stress the angle on the cv jonits)

Note sure where I lost you there. The spacers in the add you posted are the same metal ones I ordered. It is the same dealer. The only difference is the ones I bought are 2" spacers that lift your truck 2 " instead of the 3" spacers that will lift your truck 3". Hope this clears up whatever it was needed clearing up:confused:
