TAILGATE and DASH pictures might clarify this

Imho you have a possibly-stolen possibly just front end crashed vehicle remade to look like a facelift model... quite likely stolen if the VIN was odd

I've seen this stuff before, there's youtube videos of 2nd gen Expeditions rolling around Russia with 3rd gen front ends and gazillions of Florida chop shop repaired trucks with newer vehicle bodywork... why not 3rd gen 2014 edited to look like gen 3.5 2015?

Adieu - knowing the folks involved I'd be surprised if it was stolen or a fixed crash vehicle but I'm happy to take Tailgate and Dash pics. What exactly are you looking for and I'll make sure the pics are clear.

I love the irony from RockAuto - All the parts your car will ever need (just not this one)! :)
Someone mentioned cable ties?

Hi,
The plastic moulding on the side of the driver seat has broken on my 2015 Expedition XLT 5.4L (not a US model but physically the same as the 2015 smaller engine models). I've looked on RockAuto and other places but can't seem to find what I actually need to order. I live in the UK so it's not that simple to pop into a Ford Dealer for help so, if anyone here can point me in the right direction I'd be grateful.
Photo attached.
Thanks
Mike

Man in whatever scenario whether legit or not that’s impressive. To get a 3rd gen to communicate and run with gen 3.5 computer and hardware or vice versa.....however that happened someone was very skilled/ smart.

What makes it even more “legit” is the redline on the tach. That is clearly a 2015 tachometer and the redline on it is preset from Ford.

The redline is actually set for the 5.4L WOT of 5,250 RPM and NOT the ecoboost! Wow. I’m stumped.

I think I found it. I searched for 2015 XL, because it only had the 6-way seats. Not the 10-way seats with memory (thus the extra two holes for the memory buttons). Color is Dune. It doesn't matter what engine you have. Ford appears to use 'universal drawings' to depict these things in the diagrams, so I can't be 100% certain this is your part, but if it was me, I'd just spend the $29 and send it back if it's wrong. At the very least, this may help in your research because they also list some alternate part numbers. Here's the link: https://parts.lakelandford.com/p/Fo.../Seat-Switch-Panel/64872914/GL1Z14A707AA.html

Oooo....after seeing your switch panel pic, I think that is the part I posted. It's the trim cover that's needed, not the switch panel...right? Sorry...false alarm. Keep searching...

Maybe it really WAS some cancelled order for some oddball country.... using different smaller/older/shared/leftover engines for new markets is an old automotive industry tradition

Have you had any luck with the part number? There's a video on youtube that decodes part numbers. The number stamped on the actual part you have is probably an engineering number, but the middle number is always the basic part number. The first part as decoded is an 08 model year on an L1 vehicle, expedition and then design code a. That says to me that the interior trim hasn't changed since 08. Any Ford dealer "should" be able to look up the part for you. Of course, being in the UK,that may not be the case. I'll run it past a ford parts buddy to see what's what.
