So, I posted this over in the suspension section, but haven't gotten any love, thought I'd try over here.

I've got a '97 EB 4x2, which I've replaced the rear air with coils, and now I'm wanting to get a little bit of a lift and level out the front with the rear. What are my options? I've looked at ebay's listings of alloy spring spacers, and I've checked out Daystar's offerings. Which is a good/better buy, anyone have any experience with the ebay kits? I'd also consider a body lift, but that seems like it's more work than spring spacers. Thanks.

I have the metal coil spring spacers in the back and a torsion bar crank in the front. . They worked for me. I also have a 3 inch body lift. But mine's a 4x4. Don't know too much about the 2 wheel drives.

Did you get your spacers from ebay? Any idea which vendor, if so?

Thought I would chime in. I've got a 01' 4x4 with 2 inch rear coil spacers(Believe they were made by daystar, although mine are rubber). Then I bought a 3 inch body lift and installed it over a weekend(started friday night and finished sunday morning). Slapped some 37 inch tires on it and called it a day. 5-6 inches of lift for under 300 bucks and a little labor.... can't beat that! best of luck to you. Any questions, send me a personal message.

Sorry.... didn't get back to you. Been working 12 hrs a day ( night I guess ) . Yes I did get them on ebay. Can't remember the dealer. Here's a pic of the ones I bought. They've been in for 4 years or so. No problems with them.

Thanks guys for your input. I think I'm going to get that kit from ebay I linked to, and I'm sourcing some 285/75/16 tires to put on a spare set of stock rims I just got off craigslist.

Just a note that people often mention torsion-bar crank, but I don't think the 2wd version has them. (I looked because my front seems low.)

Also, I put 265/75/16 on the stock wheels, with what I believe to be partially sagging front shocks, and don't get any rubbing on my '98 EB 2wd. You shouldn't even need a lift kit if you get just a tiny bit smaller tires.
