Some of the 1st gens 97-02 had a leak in the front window which caused water to leak down into the GEM module and cause havoc with the electrical system

walnuts is hitting it on the head. Water is leaking down on to the GEM module.

Rebecca, take your truck to a windshield shop and tell them that you need the front windshield re-sealed. They are going to pop the windshield out of the truck and put a new seal on it. Run you about $100. From there. Let the inside of the truck dry out and hopefully your GEM module didn't die a horrible death. Worst case, you will need to pick up a new GEM module and get it installed. The big problem with that is getting the fuse box down which isn't too hard. But, does take a little bit of time being wedged into the footwell area.
