i have hesitation under load and the check engine light comes on flashing then clears its self. i was told that my cat was pluged and needed to be changed or punched out. When i got under the truck i see 3 containers with 2 having wires coming from them how many catalitic converters do i have? the expedition is an 05 3v 5.4 with 111,000 miles on it. i used to be able to work on cars when they were simple.

See if you can get the code read before you go changing parts. Granted, at 121k miles, changing the O2s wouldn't be such a bad idea. :)

As a side note, you didn't happen to get a letter about the injector issue with some of the 2005s w/ the 5.4L engine, did you?

so it did it again and finally the light stayed on! jetted to pep boys and misfore cyl 7, (woohoo glad its not the other side) so it has to be a cop since i replaced the plugs about 10k ago. i also had them look at the motor mounts they said the rear motor mount was broken and it would be like $450 to replace.... im like wtf! theres only a left and right, went to the ford house (someone should have shot me) amd they said theres no way its a motor mount I really didnt like his demeanor so i just left. he kept blaming everything on my rims *****... how is a misfire caused by my rims???

going to change all cops with the accels from summit ($300 INCLUDING SHIPPING FOR THE 3V VERSIONS) and change the o2 sensors with the bosch ($190)

the broken motor mount seems to explain alot of "paranormal activity" with the steering vibrations and exaust rattle (o2 sensors hitting the heat shield) also i can damn near see the engine jump out when i throw it in drive and give it gas with my foot on the brake, and put it in reverse and give it gas with my foot on the brake. any additional input would help

Had this a couple of weeks ago I would put the pedal down (when turning left at a blind right corner that everyone flys thru luckally it was only a preus that came around) and it just stopped like it was changing gears for a sec and then went on. I did not notice the engine light bit did get a missfire in a week or two

They are simple. There's usually two or three bolts to the block and one sometimes two to the frame. The trick can be getting to them sometimes. A triple jointed arm can help. Lol. Anyway once you get it unbolted, you have to raise the engine a little with either a jack or crane. You might have to remove other things to get clearance all the way out. If you use a jack on the bottom of the engine, be careful you don't crush the oil pan.

I feel like a total retard! Changed out #7 cylinder coil and got my wheels re-balanced (road force) and it rides good again! Motor mounts were fine (went to 2 dealers) as far as fuel filters I change them every other oil change I know there have been problems
