Hello fellow Expy lovers, I have a question for anyone. I have a 8k HID kit, just plug and play, hooked it up and notice while i was at a stop light that the light do a quick flickering, not off and on, a bright to a little dimmer and bright to dim and it doesnt stop. I then purchaced a replay that goes to the battery and that didnt fix it, next i got the anti flicker capaciters again NOPE, then went with a bew ballast from the company i got the kit from, still the same, last try was a set of new bulbs i got from a buddy who didnt like the look of HID;s in his rig......ANY IDEAS? i am about to give up and assume it is my electrical system for some reason. I love HID's and I want them to work in my Lightning housings.

I have a 1999 EXPY EDDIE BAUER, no daytime runners, but do have auto lamps which i switched off on the dash.

Thanks for any and all help.

I have seen this happen with cheaper HID kits from Ebay or even local shops that sell them cheap. The problem is the type of ballast that they use in the cheap kits because they are not a DIGITAL ballast you will get that little bit of flicker to the lights. Alot of companys on Ebay claim to have digital balasts but they are all cheaply made and usually only part of the ballast is digital.

Alot of people are running these :

http://www.ddmtuning.com/Product-Categories/HID-Kits-Lighting/HID-Kits

They are 100% digital ballasts and they back them up with a life time waranty.

Thanks that makes alot of sense, i may check into digital ballasts now, since i have 2 sets of bulbs already I just need the ballasts....or maybe see the bulbs i have now and buy one of those kits you suggested.

Thanks again
