Hi, just bought a 2018 Limited today. Went from a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. Nissan did an incredible job of removing ALL of the gaps when the two rows were folded flat. Ford not so good. In the Pathfinder I put a 5” thick custom cut foam pad for camping. There’s too many gaps in this Expy for that. Especially immediately behind the drivers and passengers seat. Aside from sliding in a sheet of plywood, has anyone figured out a good way to close the gaps?

That's cause the driver's seat can move back?

I put a dry box (cooler) between the 2nd row seats. Engel is the brand. Don’t remember the size right off hand. Works pretty well to support my inflatable mattress for car camping.

You could get some insulation foam board and make fiberglass covered plugs to fill the gaps. Have to be a bit careful with that because if the foam is styrene you can't use polyester resin. It will dissolve styrene. Have to use the more expensive epoxy resin on styrene. Urethane foam works with polyester resin.

If there's a big enough gap you could make a custom fit cooler to fit in the hole.

Another option, with potential to have a product to sell, is vacuum formed ABS panels to fit in those spots. Since it's a new model you'd be in on the ground floor with the accessory.
