How do I know if the expedition we are looking at has the air suspension? We are looking at 2 limited...which I think have the air standard and then an eddie bauer. All 3 are 2005 models. One of the limiteds looks low in the back then in the front, so I am guessing it has it and there is a problem with the air suspension.

Thanks

Two ways. First, get under the truck and see if there are coils or airbags. Or there should be a button in the back (I think on the driver side) that is a switch to turn it on and off. You can look on the owners manual for the button also.

I called and got the build sheet on the eddie bauer and it says heavy duty trailer tow and Standard duty suspension....so I am guessing its not the air suspension and it also has the aux cooler and everything because of the heavy duty trailer tow?

one is a small little "independent" dealer and the other is at a chevrolet dealer. When I asked about the spark plugs being changed because they can break off, the guy at the chevrolet dealership literally said "oh I didn't know that, but this is a Chevrolet dealership too"

ok...get underneath and you should see black bladders...those are your air bags...it will be apart of your suspension...if you dont see them you'll see springs...both front/rear...for the plugs...unless youre confident in changing them...take them to the dealership to change...they dont need to be changed until 100k miles...or until something is wrong...my dealership was straight up with me and told me it may take up to a day and a half because of them breaking...but they got it done in a day...took them all day though

From reading this, I'm quite certain my 08 Limited EL's got air suspension. Correct? But only the rear or front also? I'm looking tomorrow morning to see for sure.

Yup HAD! I did the conversion 3 weeks after i got it.truck feels great. i have no complaints at all. Only thing that bothers me is the Service Air Suspension Message on the dic on start-up. i hit reset and clear it. But i would like to know how to disable it permentaly, if anyone knows how let me know.

the place i got mine from said to leave all air suspension components in place. minus the airbags. So the air soliniods and level sensors. So who says a soliniod or sensors goes bad for some reason? then your message would pop back up. i know the strutmasters kit has you cut some wires...id like to know what those wires are.
