HVAC Blend Door Actuator

Where specifically is the blend door actuator on the 2001 Expy? Can it be reached without pulling the dash?

I've seen some great photo walkthrus for other models, going in thru the glove box. I can't do that with my Expy -- there's a whole lotta plastic between the glove box and the plenum.

Is there anything else likely to cause heat-only from the HVAC? The aux unit in the rear works fine (AC is cold), so the charge seems to be good. The condenser is dripping, too.

The front temperature control knob is working OK - the resistance on the pot changes. It just doesn't affect the output temperature. Even in "panel" and "cold" the air is hot.

It is under the radio and ac knobs ,behind the center console support,remove the air docks and you can remove your Question HVAC Blend Door Actuator .gl

Better late than never

Wow, this thread goes back ten years! My daughter drives the Expy now.

After that initial fix, the blend doors have worked just fine. (knocking on wood)
