I got an 2001 expedition with 5.4 and a4wd. I have had this truck for a while and it's now grinding when you turn the wheel slightly and accelerate. It sounds like it's coming from the front right wheel. also stays in 4wd because I have abs problems also. The grinding noise is a metal on metal sound. I really need some help cause I'm in college and need this truck interstate ok! Any and all help is greatly appreciated !!!! Also sometimes it feels like there is some kind of resistance I the drive like the engine is going hard but the truck ain't going far. The truck also has 200000 miles and don't looked to have been takin care of before I got it .

Safely jack up the front right wheel. put your hands on the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock position pull and push the tire in and out see if its loose. if it is most likely the wheel bearing is shot

It's not such a bad job to do yourself. Plan on about $130 for parts (more if the brakes need to be done too). You may need to buy or borrow a large socket for the axle nut. (can't remember the exact size)

The new unit bearing will come with the abs sensor attached. This may solve both your problems.
