This '03 Expo is a POS, and lives at the dealship service garage!

1. Rear diff clutches replaced 3 times
2. 2 worn tires at under 10K miles
3. 2 new steering racks
4. A/C problems
5. Leaking windshield
6. Continuing highway wheel shimmy
7. Tranmission gear searching, dealer is baffled on this one!
8. Dusting brake pads, these were repalced and doing OK after I gave the dealer absolute hell
9. I am not happy with the power of the 5.4L

So at 13K miles I am throwing in the towel, my service dept. tried to do a good job, they made every attempt, but you can't polish a turd. This thing is a Lemon and that is what I am persuing, "Lemon Law" I meet the definition by my state!

Went and purchased a new '04 Yukon Denali, loaded, 6.0L DVD Navigation etc.

GOOD BY FORD!

Thanks to those on this board that were a help to me in the times of troubleshooting and helping me leverage my dealer to get things fixed!

Update:

1. I have to say our Ford Service rep is a great guy, at the dealers cost he threw on 4 "take off tries" brand new from a truck that got all new 22" wheels/tires. Road-force balanced them all, and re-aligned the front end AGAIN, which was all in spec.

And guess what.....it still has freeway speed vibration, the service rep and shop manager are at a loss! They swore that the vibration was due to the feathering tires, to which I said how can that be...we balance and rotate the tires every 3-5K. So now with 6 tires and two steering racks we still have a problem...but it all does not really matter anymore. The truck is a lemon....30+ days in the shop and now 5 times for steering and 4 times for the rear diff.

They are going to try an experiment on the truck next is which they are going to try and adjust the Rack and pinion....after that I suggested to start replacing front sus. componets, like shocks/springs.

Meanwhile, talking to lawyers, filed with the DSB, and contacting the factory rep again...
