a 2009 Forest River Cherokee 27BH. My '13 Expy is equipped with the HD Towing Pkg, which at 9000 lbs GVWR provides me with a 1100 lb surplus given this TT has a GVWR of 7927 lbs.
That all said, with an eight grand price for the TT, would appreciate your thoughts if this a good deal. I have an appt to see the TT tomorrow.
Dealer stated everything worked as advertised. There was a bumper-bumper inspection as part of the sale, and that the rig had no leaks. I'll insist that the bearings are packed also.
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

First, good on you for using GVWR instead of dry weights from the brochure. Other than Forest River's reputation for (lack of) quality*, my biggest concern would be the GVWR of 7927 with combined axle weight ratings of 7000lbs (2x 3500lb axles). With an UVW of 6513, those are going to be some very highly loaded axles, particularly when you load it up. If you're just doing weekends at the local state park, you'll be fine (replace the bearings, don't just repack them), but if you're going to be long road trips, you should keep on looking. (Our trailer has 2 3500lb axles and a 6000lb GVWR.)

*Assuming the previous owners have cared for it well.

Thanks Shane, good info. Been out of pocket for a while, so apologize for the late response. I ended up passing on this rig. Had some areas where it looked like there was some roof water damage, and the floors felt a little spongy.
