Hi all,

When I had my 99, when I pushed the pedal to the floor it had some getup and go. With my 05, it seems like when you push it to the floor you are just using more fuel, it doesn't want to downshift to really open up like the old one did. Any recommendations? I was thinking about getting something like a flashpaq.

If you get a programmer you can change the shift points (RPM settings) that should give you what you are looking for.

Another thing to consider is that the newer expy's make their torque much earlier around 2200rpms, so downshifting (for better or worse) doesn't happen as gingerly as the old ones. Also if you have a shorter axle ratio, that will affect acceleration feel as well.

I do agree that the tuner will make a big difference regardless though.
