I installed a Cold Air Intake on my 03 5.4Ltr & now it is running lean! It hesitates & acts as if it has a miss in 1 of the cylinders! Any help on how to fix this with out removing the Cold Air Intake would be Great!

Remove the batt cables overnight so the comp will reset to learn the new air to fuel ratio. Then make sure you did not over oil the cai. If you did, clean the maf with maf cleaner not parts cleaner and don't touch it just spray it. Should be good after that. Try the batt disconnect first before messing with the maf.

I had already disconnected the battery, but only for about 20 minutes! I am guessing that it needs more time to clear the computer? Also I did not oil the CAI! What part of the CAI is to be oiled? I will also clean the MAF today!

you oil the air filter element. if it is K&N their is a air filter recharge kit that has a cleaner spray and and oil spray. I think most filter come shipped with oil and done. install and run...

On the computer. it takes about 3 to 6 hours to completely reset. I am not sure why. but that is how it works...

OK, Disconnecting the Battery is not working! I had it disconnected for 10 hours last night, When I reconnected this morning I get the same thing. Acts as if it has a miss. Any other Ideas? if not I am just going to put the stock intake back on!

Pull the air filter off and start it. Does it do it then or not.. if it does then their is something else. Is the vaccum line hooked up to proper locations...

This may sound odd... is it the right intake... it could be wrong one and not work right.
