Is all the "fuel saving" tech really worth it in the long run?

Also, you need not bother going back and looking up things that I've said to somehow say I'm wrong because I said something contradictory previously. I could care less what I say or have said. I retain the right to change my comments, opinions, or views on life at any given moment with no need to inform you.
I have a friend who "knows everything" and likes to do that. I have to remind him that I never claim to be consistent and we already know that I don't always support facts.
Maybe you should go back and quote me where I prefaced anything I'm going to say with everything is my opinion, preference, observations on life, and based mostly on what I have witnessed or experienced in my own little Realm of the world.
I'll leave that Realm capitalized because it's my Realm.

You told me WE weren’t talking about ignorance. I showed you that we were.

You were wrong.

Just because you reserve the right to change your mind doesn’t mean you can’t be wrong.

...At the end of the day though, whether someone is dumping poison into the environment due to their ignorance or simply because they don’t care, the outcome is the same.
do you consider methane or carbon dioxide poison?
(when discharged into the atmosphere, at low local concentrations)

All depends on the concentrations. Anything can be considered poisonous at high enough levels.

At low enough levels arsenic and lead aren’t even ‘poisonous’ enough to be a problem.

If someone hates cauliflower and they say cauliflower sucks then they are totally inaccurate because some people like cauliflower so it's not bad or terrible or sucks but they don't buy cauliflower or anything with cauliflower in it because they don't like cauliflower.

This doesn’t have to do with whether someone likes a certain vegtable or not.

It has to do with your right to dump poison into the sky above your house that then floats over to my house.

Your opinion that poisonous air isn’t bad doesn’t change the reality that it is in fact bad.[/QUOTE]
That's another extreme. What about someone who refuses to recycle I just throws there plastic and cans into the trash. Some people would call them a demon for doing this to waste stuff and help destroy the planet. They're not doing anything as drastic as putting pollutants and the air or water on their side that will soon get to you but they are definitely not doing their part when others think they should.
We are not talking about one specific thing or another specific thing. We are talking about everything and anything. But mostly about the environment, pollution, people not caring, people demonizing those who don't share their beliefs, human traits, racism and discrimination including people and vegetables.

I can be wrong quite often. I have no problem with being wrong. You were talking about one and I was talking about the other does that mean we were both talking about the same? I was talking about a subset of the people as were you.
At different times in the conversation we had both been talking about both types and even others.
For that particular comment or at that point in the conversation I was talking about people that are quite aware of what they're doing is bad they just don't care. This was in contrast to your earlier statement that some people are so dumb they don't understand fourth grade science and don't realize what they do affects others or everyone on a global scale.

Focus....I think that means I think it's ok for me to be wrong.

As a matter of fact I often prefer to be wrong by many people's standards if it means doing what I choose or prefer and not going along with what other people think I should do.

You guys would HATE being my neighbors.......unless you love the smell of 2 stroke oil!

I pickup my trash, don't leave the lights on too much and don't chuck my oil in the corner of the yard and use my recycle bin.....BUT;

Everything that ever was, still is.......the dinosaur that once roamed the earth now powers my bikes, different form, same material.....that the Egyptian pyramids once resided in a lush, green fertile area or that Chicago was once a rainforest....yet natural climate shift transformed these areas, much like it has since our planet was originally formed and will continue to do so for many millennia until another force acts upon us or when the gravitational pull of the expanding sun swallows in in a thousand millennium!

And everyone dies too but that doesn’t mean smoking a pack a day and only eating bacon is a good idea.

Peanut butter = protein.

You’re good.

Plus the most ecologically minded thing someone can do is die young.

I don't guess I need to as you keep cutting and pasting quotes for some gotcha moment to point something out that is irrelevant to make yourself feel superior. I guess your keeping some kind of score.
I've clearly pointed out I don't claim to have 100% consistency and that's not important to me. What I have said in the past or three posts ago doesn't guarantee or require me to say anything similar now or in the future.

Just because smoking a pack a day and eating only bacon is a bad idea doesn't mean someone shouldn't be able to do it. People should be allowed to have some bad choices left. The Nanny state has taken most of them away. Then they have to go through the Six Degrees of Separation to show how actions that are typically thought of to only hurt or harm the individual... way down the road has bad effects on others, or the whole world.
Another political method of getting your way I'm pushing an agenda.
Telling people that things were bad for them wasn't enough for the antis to get their way so they have to come up with other ways to win.
So basically the whole world is not nearly as much about what's good for people and good for the Earth or the future. It's s much more about people who have an opinion trying to exert their control and force it on everyone else to get people to do things their way.

I gain no pleasure from pointing out your untethered views and hypocrisy. It’s simply easier to use your own arguments against you than to use my own.

You’re welcome to that view.

I don’t take such a deep state conspiratorial angle on such things. I think people just got sick of the air burning their eyes and driving up chronic pulmonary disease...not to mention seeing their rivers catch fire.

Or maybe I don’t think that. Argue against that statement and I’ll call you smug for going back and using my old thoughts.

Don’t hold me to anything I say.
