I gain no pleasure from pointing out your untethered views and hypocrisy. It’s simply easier to use your own arguments against you than to use my own.
You’re welcome to that view.
I don’t take such a deep state conspiratorial angle on such things. I think people just got sick of the air burning their eyes and driving up chronic pulmonary disease...not to mention seeing their rivers catch fire.
Or maybe I don’t think that. Argue against that statement and I’ll call you smug for going back and using my old thoughts.
Don’t hold me to anything I say.
It's just a discussion. You don't have to always try to catch somebody in a moment of hypocrisy to say haha I got you you were wrong.
About the pollution, I'm sure people who had lots of pollution were tired of their eyes burning and such but my point was so much of the country had no problems with pollution or air quality but they also got affected bylaws that filter down from California having problems and the EPA.
I think those people had the out of sight out of mind attitude. I'm not saying it was the best attitude to have and it certainly wasn't very productive but they had no pressing issue for pollution and maybe not for the next 50-100 years but they still became regulated. Many of them did not like this. There wasn't a problem for them.
You obviously get a kick out of " using my own arguments against me" and that's part of the problem. For you it's an argument that you're trying to win.
I'm not arguing with you except in a very broad definition of the word, and especially not trying to change your viewpoints or opinions. I am simply stating my or other people's opinions and or preferences that I have or that I have witnessed.
I'm not expressly promoting or condemning a stance of conservationism or being a polluting bastard.
I'm not really promoting either one.
I'm sure there have been a few statements that sound like I am but not repeatedly, wholeheartedly or intentionally.
If I say I'm against Cafe standards or government regulation in this matter that doesn't necessarily mean that I want cars to get 12 miles to the gallon and pollute the air but I do take a deep State conspiratorial view or at least something similar to that and I am mostly anti-government and anti-establishment.
We all have something that makes us tick. Mine is not liking and griping about things.
