2006 (bought used good deal) have put 73,000 miles on it. Expy. died as my wife drove home. Motor still running, just no power until dead. Towed her home. OBD code P0191. Low fuel pressure. Fuse ok. Bypassed relay and ran power straight from the battery + to green/yellow wire in relay harness to the inertia fuel switch that goes to the Fuel Pump Driver Module 12volts in and 12volts out of the FPDM so I unhooked jumper and plugged the harness back into the fuse block and got 12volts out of relay to FPDM and 12volts out of the FPDM so I figured the relay was good (ordered relays for future for circuit board any way. $1.78 each.) Read about FPDM troubles corrosion (this one was corroded but no holes) and replaced that. No start. No fuel pressure. Changing pump with ford pump. Hope this works. Date on old pump was 2008. Guess it was changed before. Since car companies built a defect into in tank pumps that they are cooled by fuel and running tank too low for an extended period of time(s) that it can burn the pump out prematurely. My wife tries to keep the tank at least half full to prevent this. But I guess it was this pumps time. Any other things I may have missed? Any other information would be appreciated.
