I recently bought a 2008 Expedition Limited and I'm starting to throw on some aftermarket stuff and the first thing I did was install K&N air filter and a JET chip (stage 1).

It seems like it has a little more pep in it's step but it isn't a drastic increase in power. Gas milage has increased by about 3 mpg though. JET reccommends premium fuel to get maximum results from chip. Normally I use regular but today started putting in premium to see if there is a more noticalbe difference.

Didn't know if there were other 08 owners out there thinking of adding a chip but the JET chip is not to bad of a buy.

I don't see any increase when I run premium on my 92+ tune. Although I'm 9 years older. Headers and an exhaust will do ya. Figured out my 99 4.6 is as quick as a 04 3.8 impala yesturday running a 87 tune, low end. Pretty decent for a 2V 4.6 :).

If it calls for premium, shouldn't you be putting in premium? Or is the timing difference not that drastic?

Yea I put premium in after I installed the chip but I already had like 1/2 tank of regular in it. Hopefully I'll see a little change after this tank is gone and I refill with premium.
