Anyone know if there is a better, more efficient air intake tube from the box to the throttle body for 2011 5.4? Don't want a full CAI but have to think a more efficient tube would be better. Anyone?

stock is fine.Anyone know if there is a better, more efficient air intake tube from the box to the throttle body for 2011 5.4? Don't want a full CAI but have to think a more efficient tube would be better. Anyone?
I think all aftermarket intakes are useless but they do make money off them and they never care what it does to your car or your wallet.I tend to agree. The stock intake is built the way it is for a reason. Of course, aftermarket companies will tell you theirs is better and give you several reasons. The stock intake will flow all the air that the heads can handle, and it is built to keep the air agitated for best combustion. Drawing air through a straight tube will defeat the agitation. In 1980, Suzuki came up with "Twin Swirl" combustion chambers. It was discovered that highly agitated; swirling air did a much better job at dispersing fuel mixture more evenly throughout the cylinder, causing a significant increase in power and efficiency.
Yea, let's see those Chinese aftermarket guys copy that !Don't forget that all those funky curves and extraneous external dead ended tubes also help for sound attenuation.
