I use a SCT tuner myself. Can't speak for the others.

I checked out the moates quarterhorse you mentioned. The most interesting feature is the ability to tune in real time. That's a huge advantage over SCT and likely most others. It has sparked my interest... may have to research further.

The only problem would be if you can find a tuner familiar with the lightning conversion who uses it unless you can program it yourself.

at this point here in ny i am having no luck finding anyone interested in making money to tune this pig.was going to buy the sct x3 and pro racer software but $760 simolions is a lot of coin with winter knocking on my door.so self tune it may be just determining if going with the moates quater horse and a binary editor is the best solution.

There are several good lightning tuners that do email tunes. It is not ideal and can take longer to dial it in but it is an option.

Check out lightningrodder if you have not already for a list of reputable lightning tuners. Johnny lightning's shop is in New Jersey if you can make the trip. JJ of WMS motorsports (Maryland) is who tuned my conversion originally and he does email tunes.

I have the SCT pro-racers software myself and now do my own tuning. I like the ability to "tweak" my tune at will. Makes it much easier to dial it in to my liking. JJ of WMS also gives me tech support if needed since I purchased it through him.
