I picked up my wife's new limited today and the rear air conditioning vents blow hot air. The salesman told me the rear controls won't work until Ford gets the parts in, but you can control the temperature from the display in the front. Just curious if anyone has had this issue.

That doesn’t sound right at all. My understanding was that if you had the rear climate delete, it just means the rear controls won’t work. But it should definitely blow cold air back there. And this delete also would show on your window sticker.

The rear temperature is independent of the front so you need to make sure the AC control is on for the rear. If you have the 15” you have to toggle from front to rear across the top and adjust the temperature there. I’d recommend leaving it on and in auto mode targeting 74 degrees to start out. If you have the 12” screen there should be physical buttons for the rear controls.

The rear control panel is deleted on some of the trucks but the operation from the front is still possible.

It's now sporadic. Cycle's between cold and warm. Also the rear pax window wont go down. They told me to bring it back Monday.

A service technician at the dealer is paid by Ford to perform a pre-delivery inspection, and certify that everything is operational before delivery to the customer.

I would speak to the service manager or the dealership’s general manager, and determine why you were delivered a defective vehicle (after an employee was paid to ensure everything was correct).

That's what bugs me a bit. I get things break, it's life. But a window the won't go down and a broken AC seems like low hanging fruit and should've been figured out by the dealer instead of my 8 year old daughter. Anyway they were very nice and accommodating getting it in. So I assume they'll get it fixed this week.

Thought I had the same issue until I realized I can change the temperature from the front display. You cannot adjust temperature from the rear seats even though the controls are there. Front display only.
