keyless entry not working - correct code

I am using the factory keyless entry code and for the life of me i can not get the car to unlock.

I pressed the buttons hard. but it doesnt unlock. could it be a fuse?

i noticed my unlock / lock for doors button doesn't work from driver side as well.

Sounds like a possible bad wire? Does the panic button work from the remote? If not then its something with the remote.
